Here are some pictures from my trip to Denmark. A last picture of swans. aren't they majestic?
My sister Carla at 63. she is keeping very well
My niece Kristina and her family.
This is a swan with her swanling.
My niece Annitta and her children.
Evening picture of Roskilde cathedral. We went here twice to hear free organ concerts.
Modern day windmills and old burial mounds. See how well old and new go together?
We went to a museum where they had an exhibit of a rare type of Danish embroidery called Hedebo. Every piece was exquisite.
Rosenborg Castle where they keep the crown jewels. This castle was built by Christian4th.
Old fashioned windmill at the museum
Aren't they gorgeous?
My sister Carla near a field of poppies. they were everywhere and looked so beautiful.
View of the ocean from my cousin's summer house.
My cousin doris her husband and mother. we had not see each other since 1960
Having lunch with my cousin Doris, her husband Bent and my Faster Vera her mother. We had a wonderful lunch at an historic inn near Odense.
Old burial mounts. This picture was taken about 9pm
Typical farmhouse in half timber.
Trip ,to Frilands museet where they have transferred several farms from various parts of Denmark and Souther Sweden and one from Northern Germany. Here you have a couple of workers in period customes.
We had a great bonfire once they got it started and you could see other bonfires around the waters edge.
You can see how hot it was on the longest day of the year. I guess that is why they celebrate it with bonfires, so they can keep warm.
