Denmark Trip April 2009
Here are some images of my trip to Denmark. I went over to celebrate my Moster Anina's 89th birthday. Unfortunately I don't seem to have any pictures of her. I spent some time with my sister Carla and her husband Mogens. We made some nice side trips both in the area around where they live and also to Copenhagen. My sister and brother in law by the lake.
Sorry for the pictures that are on the side. I thought I had turned them.
My niece Annitta by the windows to the baptismal font. The whole area around the temple has been made into a pretty park.
The Copenhagen temple. It used to be our stake center. It is really beautiful inside, and the Church got permission to redo the place in front of the temple, which used to be a hang out for drunkards. They no longer hang out there.
My niece Annitta's children. They live in an apartment right next door to the Copenhagen temple.
Easter eggs my niece Annitta made. Aren't they pretty.
My sister's grandchildren. Emilie and Mathias. They are the apple of her eye.
Borsen, the Danish Stock exchange built by Christian IV. Note the tower: it is made up of twisted Dragon tails.
Inside Holmen's kirke. My sister by the baptismal font. This church was built by Christian the IV for the seafaring people.
One of the Queen's horses getting new shoes.
The Royal horse stalls.
The Danish Parliament meets here in Christiansborg Slot (castle)
A huge old tree.
A cute little church close to where my sister lives. I think it was built in the 18th century.
Flower stall at the Saturday market.
My sister Carla is cleaning house for her horse.
Town square in Roskilde. They have markets here twice a week.
This is a beautiful lake near where my sister lives. Isn't it peaceful?
